TikTok is commemorating Black History Month 2025 with a robust lineup of initiatives designed to amplify the voices and creativity of the #BlackTikTok community.
From sparking global trends to creating cultural movements like #HillmanTok University, Black creators on the platform continue to shape the digital landscape and celebrate Black culture.
This year, TikTok is spotlighting influential creators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who are driving change both online and in the real world.
The month kicks off with a special focus on Black creators to watch, as well as the launch of the 2025 SOAR Together business accelerator program in partnership with Black Girl Ventures.
The program will support Black-owned businesses on TikTok Shop, offering mentorship, educational resources, and networking opportunities.
Additionally, TikTok is launching a dedicated in-app #BlackTikTok hub, along with live events across the U.S., to continue celebrating and elevating Black voices.
The 2025 #BlackTikTok Voices to Watch highlights industry-shifting creators and business owners who are making an impact in fields ranging from healthcare and education to entertainment, beauty, food, and more.
These voices are not just influencing the TikTok platform but are also inspiring significant cultural movements in broader society.
TikTok’s programming will extend beyond the app through in-person events and a special #ShopBlackOwned series. This initiative will spotlight Black-owned brands on TikTok Shop, with live shopping sessions and a documentary-style showcase that highlights success stories from the #BlackTikTok community.
TikTok is also reinforcing its commitment to Black entrepreneurship by continuing its investment in Black Girl Ventures, which helps Black and Brown entrepreneurs access financial resources and build sustainable businesses.
The SOAR Together program will select 20 businesses to participate in a six-week accelerator, offering business coaching, educational courses, and mentorship from prominent guest speakers.
Beyond these initiatives, TikTok is celebrating Black excellence within its own organization. The BLXCK employee resource group is curating sessions that focus on mindfulness and cultural heritage, ensuring an inclusive environment that supports Black employees both professionally and personally.
