Twitter announced that its 650k Twitter Blue subscribers can upload HD videos up to two hours in length using Twitter.com and Twitter iOS app.

Now this announcement creates a big gap between free and paid plans for Twitter. Whereas free users have an upload limit of slightly more than 2 minutes, paying customers can upload videos of any length in an HD format.
According to Twitter, “Subscribers can upload videos up to 2 hours long (1080p) on twitter.com and Twitter for iOS. Subscribers can upload videos up to 10 minutes long on Android. If you aren’t a Twitter Blue subscriber, you can still upload videos up to 140 seconds long on any platform.”.
Elon Musk has long discussed the company’s desire to compete with video platforms such as YouTube; perhaps by using Yaccarino’s background in reaching this vision.
