Next month, Netflix will focus on refining its sales and operational processes with Microsoft while also improving ad delivery validation, measurement, and targeting.
Netflix’s Ad-Supported Tier
Surpassing projections, Netflix added 7.7 million paying customers throughout the time frame. “We’re not going to be larger than Hulu in year one,” said Chief Financial Officer Spencer Neumann.
Half of Hulu’s subscribers are now using the free, ad-supported version of the service. Netflix has made a conscious effort to not overwhelm viewers with commercials.
Some of the first brands to try out the service are AB InBev, L’Oreal Paris, and NYX Professional Makeup. The company’s cooperation with Nielsen for audience measurement and insights was recently expanded.
