In an effort to streamline the creative process, Pinterest is merging all of its creation elements into a single stream. This includes capabilities that were previously exclusive to specific Pin formats.
Pinterest New Features
Before, if you wanted to add a video to a Pin, you had to choose Idea Pins. But now, it’s all part of one easy process. You don’t have to worry about remembering which steps allow certain publishing features.
In their blog post, Pinterest said: “Pinterest users will now be able to access features that were previously only available to certain Pin formats or users with a business account, including links, post-publish editing, and flexible aspect ratios. All content creators will also be able to include expressive features like music, text overlay, and stickers to their Pins.”.
The ability to add links to all pins within the platform, though, may be the most significant update. With Pinterest’s variety of Pin types, you can increase your chances of driving traffic to your site and making sales through their convenient shopping tools. This makes Pinterest an effective tool for referral marketing.
Pinterest is also expanding access to its paid partnership tool and the ability to tag products with affiliate links.
