Shake Shack will partner with “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” to promote both the film and its restaurants.

In order to advertise its mushroom-based ‘Shroom Burgers, Shake Shack has teamed up with “The Super Mario Bros. Movie.” Shake Shack is incentivizing customers to buy its ‘Shroom Burgers via mobile or web channels by giving away tickets to the movie, and the chain’s DUMBO location will be transformed with visual and physical aspects inspired by the film.
A critical and financial failure, the live-action “Super Mario Bros.” film from 1993 only made $38.9 million worldwide on a budget of $42 million.
