Royal Perks members of the chain can use a code they obtained to directly redeem the deal in the BK app. The activation shows how mobile marketing is being used by businesses to interact with customers in heavily frequented public areas like Times Square.
Burger King, a division of Restaurant Brands International, has celebrated the Whopper’s first anniversary since 1957 in a variety of ways over the years. The brand sold the burger for $0.37, which was its initial selling price, last year.
