As expected, the news broke after Google released its quarterly earnings. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, said in a statement released alongside the company’s fourth-quarter financial results that a new chatbot will soon be introduced by Google in the field of AI.
Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic said in a statement: “We’re partnering with Google Cloud to support the next phase of Anthropic, where we’re going to deploy our AI systems to a larger set of people. This partnership gives us the cloud infrastructure performance and scale we need.”.
Anthropic was established in early 2021 by former OpenAI executives such as Dario Amodei CEO and Daniela Amodei. Since the company started, 14 academic papers have been published by Anthropic. All of them show the company’s work to create reliable and easy-to-understand language models.
