The previous policy would remove all data from inactive personal accounts, but now the entire Google account is at risk of being removed.
Inactive Google Accounts
According to the company’s recently announced policy changes, inactive Google accounts that haven’t been accessed in at least two years may be deleted. Remember that this policy’s implementation is delayed until December of this year.
Account activity includes things like checking and sending emails, storing files in Google Drive, viewing videos on YouTube, installing new apps, and signing in with your Google account. A subscription service like Google One is one option for keeping an alternate account active, but this isn’t something you’d typically use.
