Instagram Inbox Notes are brief messages (up to 60 characters) that will appear in your inbox for 24 hours. Having your contacts read and react to your Inbox Notes makes it simple to start a lively discussion while you’re on the go.
Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram, said the reason behind the delay in introducing this feature in other counties was because of testing and regulations.
