Meta is expanding its Broadcast Channels feature, enabling all Facebook Pages with over 10,000 followers to create their own channels on both Facebook and Messenger. This move aims to help creators connect more deeply with their most loyal followers through public, one-to-many messaging.
Broadcast channels offer a unique chat format for creators to send content directly to followers, fostering a more authentic and engaging space. Meta is excited to announce that broadcast channels are now available globally for eligible Pages with more than 10,000 followers. In the coming months, this feature will also be rolled out to professional mode creators with over 10,000 followers.
A key addition to this feature is the ability to share channel messages from Instagram to Facebook. This integration allows creators to automatically share updates across platforms, saving time and extending their reach. Another feature is early access to channel content, enabling creators to share Facebook posts with channel members before the general public, offering an exclusive perk and a way to gather early feedback.
Creators and members can also share channel content via Facebook Stories, reaching a broader audience. Broadcast channels are designed for public and discoverable messaging, distinguishing them from private chats on Messenger.
Meta’s expansion of broadcast channels underscores its commitment to providing tools that enhance engagement and streamline content sharing for creators. By facilitating deeper connections with followers, Meta is helping creators maximize their reach and impact.
