How Does Take It Down Work?
Using Take It Down, users can add unique digital watermarks to their photos and then use those to track down any online reproductions.
Take It Down is a new reporting mechanism that enables users anywhere in the globe to request the removal of sexually explicit images and videos of children under the age of 18 off the internet.
Meta funded the program’s early stages so that NCMEC could roll out the necessary infrastructure last year by the end of December 2022.
