Meta introduced a set of changes designed to make it easier for users to go to and adjust various Account Center settings, including advertising data.
Accounts Center Terminology
Meta is replacing the term “people” with “Account Center accounts” for a few metrics as of right now. Ads Manager, Ads Reporting, Ads Help Center, Commerce Insights, and Instagram Insights are just some of the changes that will reflect this update.
Meta said that they will continue to use the same methods for calculating these indicators. Users reporting will still show the same names as previously; all that will change is only the name. If a user has multiple accounts on different services, such as Instagram and Facebook, only one account will show up in the Accounts Center.
In their most recent blog, Meta said “As Accounts Center becomes the central place for managing Facebook and Instagram accounts, we want to make sure the terminology we use for certain advertising metrics aligns with the growing importance of Accounts Center.“.
