A press statement states that Netflix has collaborated with the clothing company Lacoste on a new line of merchandise based on some of Netflix’s most-watched programs.
Together, Netflix and Lacoste will release an apparel line based on eight of the company’s most popular shows and films. The collection uses the famous Lacoste crocodile and hints at the series by changing the crocodile’s head to a monster from “Stranger Things,” for example.
Netflix has experience creating co-branded products, having worked with Vans and Champion in the past. In 2016, just one episode of “Stranger Things” brought Lacoste $1.8 million in publicity over the course of 28 days.
