Twitter’s CEO, Linda Yaccarino, shared her excitement on Saturday about helping to improve Twitter under Elon Musk‘s leadership and his vision for a brighter future.

It was Yaccarino’s first tweet since rumors of her being Twitter‘s future CEO began circulating on Thursday. Musk, who has led the company as CEO since he acquired it, named her to the position on Friday.
Yaccarino, an advertising expert, is taking control of a social media company that has suffered a sharp drop in advertising revenue and is also burdened by a significant amount of debt.
After Musk bought Twitter, the company lost 80% of its employees. Advertisers left the platform because they worried their ads would appear next to offensive content. Musk admitted earlier this year that Twitter’s ad revenue has dropped significantly.
Musk has suggested that Yaccarino will assist in the development of an “everything app”.
