Netflix Ads Revenue
The new ad-supported plan by Netflix “changes the game” for how Netflix should compensate creative talent, says Jeremy Zimmer, head of United Talent Agency, to the Financial Times.
He continue saying “A show that does really well will get more advertisers and more revenue will flow to Netflix. Therefore, our clients who created that show should be compensated for that additional revenue”.
Last year, Netflix introduced the “Basic with Ads” plan for $6.99 per month, compared to the ad-free subscription price of $9.99 to $19.99.
It has been reported that roughly 9% of Netflix members in the United States have chosen the new plan.
