Snapchat updated its Family Center to allow parents to control and filter content for their kids. Also, it clarifies how content is distributed and ranked within the app.

The toggle button within the Family Center‘s settings will give parents the peace of mind that sensitive content will not be in their children’s feed.
Spanchat said: “Our new Content Controls in Family Center will allow parents to filter out Stories from publishers or creators that may have been identified as sensitive or suggestive. To enable Content Controls, parents will need to have an existing Family Center set up with their teen.”.
It’s worth noting that Snapchat was investigated recently by the british media regulator Ofcom about the need for Spanchat to block children under 13 from using the app.
