Telly, a smart TV company, will give away 500,000 of their latest smart TVs for free to the public. However, there is a caveat. In order to enjoy TV episodes and movies, users must watch ads.

Telly designed a 55-inch 4K HDR TV, a soundbar, and a nine-inch screen that can be hidden away under the main display. Widgets such as the weather, music playback, sports scores, and financial information are displayed here, along with advertisements. Even while the material is playing, the bottom panel remains illuminated.
Some users may get used to ignoring the ads since they appear on a smaller screen than the main one and only occupy a quarter of it. Some people might find it excessively distracting. And some might not be bothered because it’s a free TV!
Ilya Pozin said in a statement “Telly is a revolutionary step forward for both consumers and advertisers. For too long, consumers have not been an equal part of the advertising value exchange. Companies are making billions of dollars from ads served on televisions, yet consumers have historically had to pay for both the TV and the content they watch. All of that changes today. When I co-founded Pluto TV, we created an entirely new model that offered amazing TV content to viewers for free. Now, with Telly, we are providing the actual television for free as well.”.
A free smart TV is available for reservation at www.freetelly.com. The device will be available for shipment this summer from Telly. Reservations for Telly can only be made at this time in the United States.
