TikTok is constantly pushing the boundaries of integrating shopping into their app. A new and exciting addition to the main screen is the recently introduced ‘Shop‘ tab. This convenient feature is already being enjoyed by a fortunate set of users.
TikTok Shopping Tab
Some users are now noticing a third ‘Shop‘ tab in the app, the tab appears alongside the usual ‘Following‘ and ‘For You‘ tabs, as shared by Matt Navarra.
TikTok has experimented with a few different versions for a third tab. One of these is the ‘Nearby‘ feed, which showcases local content to select users. Now, TikTok is testing if a dedicated shop listing can work by adding a tab that takes you directly to the TikTok Shop display.
TikTok is running an eCommerce experiment to encourage more purchases from users, especially those in Asia who already like its in-stream shopping options.
