After receiving immediate criticism from broadcasters and content producers, Twitch has decided to reverse its recently announced guidelines regarding the way streamers may display adverts on the network.

There was outrage among content producers and streamers when Twitch announced new regulations banning “burned-in” video, display, and audio adverts. In contrast to the charity streamers and esports creators who expressed worry, OTK, a network of high-value streamers, condemned the modifications.
Twitch issued an apology for the implementation but has since reversed course, potentially endangering companies, charities, esports broadcasts, and content providers.
