According to Elon Musk, soon verified Twitter users will have the opportunity to monetize their replies by incorporating ads. The first block of payment is expected to be around $5 million.
Twitter’s Content Creators Get Paid
Twitter has had a hard time keeping advertisers since Elon Musk bought the company. Advertisers are understandably concerned after thousands of layoffs at the company and about the environment Musk created within the platform.
In March, Musk said the messaging service earns 5–6 cents per hour of user attention. He also said this number could increase to $15 with more precise advertising.
