Twitter users who have had their accounts suspended will be able to appeal the suspension and have their accounts reinstated as of February 1, 2023.
Twitter Account Suspension Appeal
After Elon Musk purchased Twitter in October, new guidelines were implemented that would only allow Twitter accounts to be terminated for severe or continuing and recurrent violations of the company’s policies.
What is considered a serious violation of the Terms of Service include, but are not limited to, posting or sharing illegal content, engaging in criminal conduct, harassing others, or causing violence or injury.
In the future, Twitter says it would limit the violating tweet or require users to delete the violating tweet before allowing them to continue using the account, rather than suspending the account entirely.
