On Friday, Elon Musk revealed that the firm would soon start sharing a portion of its advertising earnings with the platform’s developers. But here’s the rub: To participate, users need to subscribe to Twitter Blue, which costs $8 per month.
Revenue Sharing From Advertising
Elon Musk, co-founder, and CEO of Twitter, reportedly has an interest in expanding Twitter’s creator economy to include revenue sharing from advertising. Twitter currently provides many ways for content creators to monetize their work, such as Super Follows and Ticketed Spaces.
Whether or not this functionality has been released into the world, we plan to monitor how these alterations affect Twitter’s current ad-driven advertising structure. Some new bugs have also appeared, such as retweets being mistakenly marked as deleted.
