Tweets from Twitter Blue subscribers can now be up to 10,000 characters long, and they can now use text style options like bold and italics, expanding the scope for expression available on the platform.
10K Characters Long
Twitter Blue users can now send tweets of up to 4k characters in length, albeit the first 280 characters will be taken off in the stream. The removal of the current length constraints, according to Elon Musk, will encourage more users to share longer content.
Users can upload films up to an hour long, but whether they want to sit back and watch an hour-long clip on their tweet feed is anyone’s guess. Twitter’s Notes feature allowed users to upload up to 2,500 characters, along with photos, embedded tweets, and other media.
