Anthropic has recently made the chatbot, Claude 2, accessible to the public in both the US and the UK. This comes at a time when the discussion surrounding the safety and potential impact of AI is gaining momentum.
Anthropic Launched Claude 2
Aiming to ensure safety, the company, headquartered in San Francisco, has coined the term “Constitutional AI” to illustrate its approach of employing a well-defined set of principles to make informed decisions regarding the content it generates.
Anthropic said in their announcement: “Think of Claude as a friendly, enthusiastic colleague or personal assistant who can be instructed in natural language to help you with many tasks. The Claude 2 API for businesses is being offered for the same price as Claude 1.3. Additionally, anyone in the US and UK can start using our beta chat experience today.”.
Anthropic said they highly value your feedback as they strive to ethically and effectively expand the reach of their products. Be cautious when using the chat experience because it is still in open beta. Claude and other models may generate inappropriate responses.
