Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has hired hacker and detractor George Hotz to revamp the search function and make it more useful.
Elon Musk’s Plans Regarding Twitter
Hacker George Hotz will work as an intern for Twitter CEO Elon Musk for a period of 12 weeks. Hotz previously disapproved of Musk and declined to join his team at Tesla. He pledges to add brand-new features and “fix” Twitter search.
Already, there are hints that Hotz might not be able to take the position of a full team. Hotz is currently a prominent figure on tech Twitter for his attempts to enlist engineers’ free assistance. It’s not a good look, as some have noted, for one of Silicon Valley’s largest tech businesses to request volunteer labor, especially after Musk sacked numerous full-time engineers who would have been able to assist him with this project.
