Neill enjoyed working with Steven Spielberg and the production team, but he and other cast members thought their contributions were overlooked in the film’s promotion.
Sam Neill in “Jurassic Park”
Sam Neill’s latest book, “Did I Ever Told You This?,” is a biography full of entertaining anecdotes from the set of his many films, such as “The Piano” and “Peaky Blinders.” As Neill worried, he wasn’t right for the character in “Jurassic Park,” his anecdotes about the film’s production were destined to be the most popular.
Neill claimed that the movie’s marketing made it clear that the CGI dinosaurs, not the actors, were the film’s main attraction, but that his complaints about the campaign were a minor price to pay to be in such an iconic film.
