Third-party apps claiming to be “ChatGPT” or an “AI chatbot” have flooded the App Store as customer demand for such tools has increased. Some software tricked users into paying for expensive subscriptions to use their AI capabilities, and yet many of these apps were incredibly successful, earning millions of dollars.
There are already too many AI chatbot apps available in the market, which makes it hard for the official ChatGPT app to stand out. As it turned out, the situation was quite different from what we had initially thought.
