Reddit has revealed that it’s going to be taking the “Reddit Talks” audio component of its social platform down on March 21, 2023.
Why Reddit Is Shutting Reddit Talks Down?
The intention was always for Talk to continue operating normally. Regrettably, the third-party audio vendor whose Reddit Talks services they rely on for Talk is discontinuing their operations. To put it another way, the amount of resources needed to maintain Talk’s online presence throughout this transition significantly rose for Reddit engineers.
Previous discussions can be downloaded beginning on March 21, 2023, and customers will be able to do so until June 1, 2023, when the service is turned off.
