TikTok is the most recent social media platform to distance itself from the BeReal trend by saying it will no longer support the clone feature it introduced in September.
BeReal App
Launched as an in-app feature in some areas and as a standalone app in others, TikTok Now is being phased out. The content that users have already shared on TikTok Now will remain accessible.
As a result, the popularity of the BeReal app is declining, signaling the end of the fad. Users in the United Kingdom and ‘RealPeople’ have been beta-testing a new feature of BeReal called Bonus BeReal, which allows them to keep up with their favorite celebs.
BeReal’s biggest drawback is that it’s not really an app at all—just functionality that provides a daily reminder. For the time being, you can still download the TikTok Now app on its own.
