Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, tweeted that inactive accounts will be archived and deleted. He believes it’s crucial to free up abandoned usernames.
Twitter Will Remove Inactive Accounts
Elon Musk announced in a separate tweet that idle accounts will be archived and eventually deleted, however he did not specify when this would happen.
Twitter‘s policy requires users to sign in at least once every 30 days or risk having their accounts deleted permanently due to inactivity.
Musk added that the number of people following the idle accounts on Twitter could go down if idle accounts were archived or deleted.
