Last year, WhatsApp allowed its global user base to exchange messages across any connected device. Today, they’re improving multi-device support by letting the same WhatsApp account on multiple phones.
WhatsApp Multi-Device Access
Connecting phones as secondary devices facilitates instant messaging. You may now seamlessly transition between devices (and continue conversations) without having to log in again. If you own a small business, you can allow other staff members to access your WhatsApp Business account, enabling them to respond to customers from their phones.
In their announcement, they said: “A feature highly requested by users, now you can link your phone as one of up to four additional devices, the same as when you link with WhatsApp on web browsers, tablets and desktops. Each linked phone connects to WhatsApp independently, ensuring that your personal messages, media, and calls are end-to-end encrypted, and if your primary device is inactive for a long period, we automatically log you out of all companion devices.”.
The upgrade has begun distributing to users around the world and will reach everyone in the next several weeks.
