WhatsApp has introduced a new feature called Lists, designed to help users organize their chats into custom categories and prioritize key conversations.
Building on the chat filters feature released earlier this year, Lists enable users to create personalized categories—such as family, work, or community—making it easier to keep up with important messages when needed.
Users can easily create or edit Lists by tapping the “+” icon in the filter bar on the Chats tab or by long-pressing on an existing list.
Both group and individual chats can be added to Lists, with all custom Lists showing up in the filter bar for quick access.
The feature is rolling out today and will be available to all users in the coming weeks, with WhatsApp planning further enhancements to Lists to support better organization and focus on valuable conversations.
The launch of Lists reflects WhatsApp’s commitment to enhancing user experience through customizable chat organization.
For marketers, the potential for more organized and prioritized chats could open up new opportunities for targeted engagement as users streamline interactions with their most important contacts.
