Wix, a prominent player in the cloud-based web development sphere, has unveiled its support for IndexNow across its myriad of Premium sites.
The partnership implies that Wix will keep IndexNow informed of all fresh, revised, or removed URLs. Consequently, Wix users can expect their most recent content modifications to swiftly mirror in search engine results, enhancing their site’s visibility without requiring any additional interventions from SEO professionals or site administrators.
Einat Hoobian-Seybold, Wix’s Product Lead, expressed the company’s enthusiasm about their collaboration with Microsoft Bing, stating, “This integration underscores our commitment to delivering unparalleled, ready-to-use SEO tools, making the promotion of websites swift and hassle-free for our users.”.
IndexNow is a pioneering effort by several leading search engines to formulate a unified method for sites to intimate them about content alterations.
It surpasses the traditional means of relying on sitemaps or crawling, which might be tardy or incomplete. With IndexNow, sites can simply send an HTTP request containing the content’s URL they aim to index. Search engines then swiftly process this request, updating their indices accordingly.
The IndexNow initiative has been receiving increasing acclaim, with its adoption rate soaring. At present, an impressive 60 million sites are relaying over 1.4 billion URLs daily to the IndexNow API.
Fascinatingly, 12% of all fresh URLs tapped in search results were initially pinpointed through IndexNow. Through leveraging IndexNow, updates can be efficiently shared with multiple search engines, including Bing, Yandex, Seznam.cz, and the newly added Naver.com.
The inclusion of Wix within the IndexNow community is a commendable step forward, promising its users enhanced online visibility and growth potential. As the digital realm continues to evolve, tools like IndexNow, which streamline and expedite indexing processes, are bound to become indispensable for businesses vying for online prominence.
