The New York Times stated recently that Google’s management had issued a “code red” in response to the release of ChatGPT, a popular conversational-artificial-intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI.
What Is ChatGPT Really?
Simply, ChatGPT is an AI chatbot that can answer a wide variety of queries posed by its users (btw passed 1M users in 5 days only) by analyzing data accessible on the internet. ChatGPT provides original and novel responses that have never been written by humans before, in contrast to Google Search which searches the internet for prospective answers and sends individuals links that they must read through themselves.
According to an internal document and voice recording acquired by The New York Times, Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, has urged multiple teams to spend their resources on tackling the challenge that ChatGPT poses to Google’s search engine operations.
