After numerous accounts announced that they would stop using Twitter altogether, Twitter appears to have removed all of its labels on government and media accounts.
Twitter Removes Government Funded Labels
Even major media outlets such as Russia Today (RT), Xinhua News from China, CBC from Canada, NPR, and PBS have experienced recent changes.
Musk has stated on multiple occasions that he is looking forward to getting rid of the old blue checkmarks, which he claims were awarded through a rigged and unfair method by the former administration of Twitter. He also wanted Twitter to have transparency in regard to who funds the well known media agencies.
