OpenAI announced today that ChatGPT Plus members can utilize the app’s new Browsing function to have ChatGPT search Bing for answers.

The ChatGPT apps for iOS and Android include browsing, which enables users to use Bing to look up news stories and other information outside of training material. However, restricting ChatGPT’s search options to Bing can be detrimental to users. The strong relationship between Microsoft and OpenAI, which has spent over $10 billion, could result in misinformation and unjust outcomes.
Additionally, tapping a search result now immediately brings users to the topic of the chat. This week’s rollout of other features and browsing is anticipated.
