In accordance with the agreement, GSTV’s creative studio, Ignite, will select weekly TikTok segments that have QR codes that point back to the social media app and the hashtag #ISawItOnGSTV for sharing.
With the GSTV agreement, TikTok is extending its reach beyond smartphones, perhaps generating additional downloads, and cementing its place in customers’ daily lives. Due to its ties to China, the agreement could result in U.S. sanctions.
The presence of GSTV may help firms that are marketing to Generation Z and commuters secure advertising spending. The alliance expands on prior alliances with Mercedes-Benz, Screenvision, and ReachTV.
