Since some Toblerone production has moved out of Switzerland, the iconic Matterhorn Mountain peak will no longer appear on the candy’s packaging.
Distinctive New Toblerone Typeface
Swiss milk chocolate bar Toblerone, shaped like a mountain, will soon have new packaging that features the brand’s founder’s signature as well as new flavors like honey and almond nougat.
Mondelez is increasing production and moving some of it outside of Switzerland to keep up with demand and expand the Toblerone brand. Tobler’s signature will be featured alongside a “distinctive new Toblerone typeface and logo” on the updated packaging.
As a cost-cutting measure, the chocolate bar’s distinctive triangular chunks were spread further apart in 2016.
