After its successful introduction to U.S. users in September, X is now rolling out its third-party ID verification program to Premium subscribers in the U.K.
This update allows subscribers on web and iOS platforms to validate their authenticity.
For U.K. Premium subscribers eager to confirm their identity, the process is straightforward. Users need to furnish an image of a government-sanctioned ID, such as a license or passport, which carries their photograph.
Partnering with third-party verifier, Au10tix, X then adds an “ID Verified” tag alongside the conventional blue checkmark, bolstering user credibility.
X’s expansion of its ID verification program to the U.K. signifies a growing emphasis on user authenticity and security in online platforms.
