Brands may now conduct more effective in-stream product or service promotion with the help of a new feature currently being tested on Instagram.
To boost conversion rates, Instagram recommends certain Shop managers to incorporate user-generated content into their product listings. Yolandé Haynes (Content & Social Media Manager at For Everyone Group) recently shared a screenshot of this suggestion on LinkedIn.
Instagram outlines how the user-generated content for shops on Instagram works: “When a user tags a brand in a post, that brand will have the ability to request permission to feature their products in that post. Users that tag your business will likely appreciate that your brand would like to feature its products in their content. It will also allow their content to surface on brand-owned spaces, such as the product’s PDP or your shop on Instagram.”.
