With an eye on promoting greater professional engagement and communication via LinkedIn InMails and direct messages, LinkedIn is planning to expand its messaging tools.

Users can now send direct messages to a Company Page and talk with the Page managers, who will answer as the Page and not as a user.
LinkedIn explains about this new feature: “With Pages Messaging, members can reach out to brands through a one-to-one message, which has previously only been available for member-to-member interactions, about topics like products and services, business opportunities and more. Organizations will have a dedicated inbox so that they can manage these two-way conversations and prioritize inquiries that matter most to their business.”.
Although this feature has the potential to create more interaction between users and pages, there is also the possibility of some users taking advantage of it by sending excessive and irrelevant messages to the Company Page.
