The ‘Elon Mode’ driving option, discovered by a Tesla software hacker, appears to let Tesla cars with Full Self-Driving function without any driver supervision.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, may have a covert driving mode called “Elon Mode” that permits the hands-free operation of a vehicle. After examining the Model 3’s vehicle code, the hacker @greentheonly found a way to lock customers out of the center camera and power seats.
A 600-mile test on Elon Mode by the hacker revealed no lingering issues with the system. The specific version of FSD used in the test was not known, however, the company-owned vehicle used was an early Model X.
